About Kathy – Cat Rescue Advocate
Kat’s Kingdom was founded by Kathy, a passionate animal lover whose life has always been surrounded by cats. Known proudly as a lifelong “crazy cat lady,” Kathy has dedicated her time, energy, and heart to improving the lives of cats that have nowhere else to turn.
For over twenty-five years, Kathy worked as a preschool teacher, guiding and caring for young children. After retiring from her rewarding career in education, she chose to dedicate her time to another important calling—animal rescue.
A Lifelong Love for Cats
Kathy’s love for animals began early in life and continued to grow over the years. Living in a rural wooded area exposed her to the difficult reality that many stray and feral cats face every day. She regularly saw cats wandering through the woods searching for food or shelter, often pregnant or injured.
Instead of ignoring the problem, Kathy decided to act. What began as helping a few cats quickly grew into a rescue effort that would eventually become Kat’s Kingdom.
From Compassion to Action
Over the past three years, Kathy has rescued more than 24 cats. Many of these cats were pregnant mothers or vulnerable kittens who needed immediate care and protection.
Every rescue requires patience, dedication, and knowledge. Kathy works tirelessly to ensure that rescued cats receive proper nutrition, medical care, and a safe environment while they recover and prepare for adoption.
A Mission to Educate and Protect
Kat’s Kingdom is not only about rescue—it is also about education and awareness. Kathy believes strongly in promoting spaying and neutering as one of the most effective ways to prevent stray cat populations from growing.
By sharing knowledge and encouraging humane treatment of animals, Kathy hopes to inspire others to care for and protect the cats in their communities.
